Advisory Group

Introit’s advisory group provides business leadership and more than 75 years of experience in the electronic component and computer marketplace. All three advisors provide personal, daily, and active mentorship and guidance in a complicated, multi-faceted business world.

Alan Hald/ex-President and CEO MicroAge

Alan Hald built a Fortune 500 technology services company from scratch- MicroAge. In 1976, Alan Hald co-founded MicroAge. Alan helped open one of the first computer stores in the nation. Spanning a 24 year period of time, he transitioned the company from start-up through explosive growth, hard times, re-organizations, strategy shifts and launching new ventures. MicroAge was a $4B company in the late 1990’s.

He now works with CEO's and entrepreneurs who are also taking their growth companies through similar challenging transitions. Most transitions are very disruptive and risky, whose outcomes are uncertain. Alan's unique experience, talent and perspective allow him to work with CEO's and facilitate the creative, teaming and execution activities needed to effect strategically focused change within a business under stress.

Alan Steinberg/ex-President and CEO DevelopOnline

Industry visionary Alan Steinberg brings more than 25 years experience in high technology including product development, business strategy and systems management. Steinberg co-founded DevelopOnline with the belief that there is a more efficient and cost-effective way to bring new technology to the marketplace and directly to the desktop of the design engineer.

Steinberg held a number of positions spanning more than two decades at Intel. These positions included strategy development for the embedded processor lines, general management, entrepreneurialism, organization and professional development. He has also held a number of executive positions including general management, product development and strategic marketing leadership at Intel and ITT. As the general manager of the I/O Processor Division, Steinberg was responsible for more than $3 billion in revenue.

Steinberg earned a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Temple University in Philadelphia, Penn. He has attended executive management development programs at Intel and has taught business and technology at Intel University.

Tim Herring/President and CEO IntelliData, 1999 to current.

Tim has been in the electronic component business for over 21 years, after graduating from California State University, Chico in 1981. Most recently, Tim served as Director of Product Management for the Passive, Electromechanical, and Connector (PEMCO) division of Arrow Electronics (NYSE: ARW) earlier known as Capstone Electronics. For the 9 years that Tim was at Arrow, most of his time was spent in inventory management and in marketing passive components, specifically capacitors and resistors.

Prior to Arrow, Tim spent 9 years with specialty distributor Projections Unlimited, Inc. (PUI). During that time PUI focused its efforts solely on capacitors and resistors. His roles at PUI ranged from inside and outside sales to regional/general sales management, where he opened branch locations in Silicon Valley and Seattle.

These 21 years of experience focus on the specific issues and complications of this segment of the electronic component industry and bring to IntelliData.net great product and solution leadership. During his time with IntelliData, Tim has helped lead the company to produce the passive component industry’s most innovative and cost saving solutions through the development of data content and software. These products have attracted top tier customers in both component manufacturer and distributor segments.
