Definitions Overview

This section of the website will explain terms used in our text, white papers, and tutorials, and hopefully in clear enough terms for our website viewers. We will attempt to make order out of acronym chaos, and we will include diagrams where appropriate for the reading challenged.

Definitions will be broken up into several categories, and include the following:

  • Enterprise management functions – high-level breakdown of functions that span the entire enterprise and encompass all software functions. Introit services will enable content that is the life blood of the enterprise management functions.
  • E-commerce acronyms – a complete breakdown of all current acronyms used to represent enterprise software functions. Introit will provide future interfaces to some of the e-commerce functions.
  • Content quality definitions – these terms are typically misused and interchanged; we will attempt to set the record straight.
  • Database content definitions – the definitions of terms used in conjunction with databases that represent electronic component devices.
  • Taxonomy definitions – definitions that explain terms used with taxonomies
  • International numbering – current numbering system definitions.
  • QA/QC term definitions – definitions of terms used when explaining how quality will be integrated into services offered by Introit.
