| Content Food Chain
Introit will address the needs of both sides of the content food chain
as illustrated in Figure 1 with products that address both the needs of
the publishing end of the content food chain and the end-user end of the
content food chain. The publishing side is where content is created, and
the end-user side is where content is consumed.

Publishing Side Tool Features
At the publishing side of the content food chain:
- Accelerate the creation of and access to reusable component
information by providing tools that work with standard publishing
systems.
- Store reusable information in a native XML database with source and
reflection support.
- Transport the published component information via the Internet using
standard Internet protocols (EDI and RosettaNet PIPs transporting
technical data and catalogs)
- Provide cross-reference products for the electronic component
manufacturers.
End-User Side Tool Features
At the end-user side of the content food chain:
- Provide tools that keep content clean; tools will include BOM-ready
tools, data cleansing tools, data enhancement tools, XML tagging tools,
content structure tools, and content classification tools. These tools
are a part of Introits data acquisition tool suite.
- Provide a cross-reference tool for end-users.
- Support the design collaboration chain and enterprise level
knowledge management tools with Introit solutions (tools for design
engineering, purchasing, decision systems, supply chain management,
component engineering, and manufacturing all based on content). These
tools are part of Introits engineering support tool suite.
